About Us

Taproot Productions was created by two sisters who’ve lived a lot of life—and refused to stay defined by any of it.

Between us, we’ve walked through more than seven decades of real-world experience:
childhood trauma, addiction, learning disabilities, chronic pain, cancer, brain injury, foreclosure, single parenting, loss, betrayal, and more than one plot twist you don’t see coming in a movie.

And in those same seventy years, we rebuilt—again and again. Therapy, recovery, education, movement, neuroscience, creativity, community service…every time life knocked us sideways, we learned, adapted, and rose.

We became:
game designers, crisis-intervention instructor, B&B owners, youth-program creators, stained-glass artists, video producers, landscape painter, elected official, entrepreneurs, and practitioners of methods that help people move—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.

The Feldenkrais Method® is one of the most powerful ways I know to reconnect your brain and body. It teaches you to move with less effort, more awareness, and a kind of ease most of us forget we’re allowed to have. Grounded in physics, neuroscience, and human development, it helps people improve comfort, performance, coordination, and everyday function—by learning, not forcing.

I’ve been a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner® for over 30 years, and I still find it extraordinary. The method has shaped how I teach, create, think, and even how I manage chronic pain. Its principles show up in everything I do—from movement work to game design—because awareness changes everything.
When you understand yourself differently, you move differently.
And when you move differently, life opens upward.

The Matrix Model

“I wrote this to document our early work with atypical children as we developed The Movie Making Process. Our work and all early videos were produced at The Land of Oz Bed and Breakfast in Bay City, Wisconsin.”
